O say can you see
By cop car flashing lights,
What so proudly we hail’d
As the bullets went streaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars,
Through the perilous fight,
In the classrooms we watch’d,
waved o’er frantic kids screaming?
And the shooters red flare,
bullets spatting in air,
Gave proof through the night,
Our gun rights were still there.
O say does that bullet-holed banner yet wave
Oe’r the land of the free
And the home of
Nineteen children and two adults shot down dead in school on a morning in May.
